In addition to the countless hours of personal volunteer time contributed by Tailhook members and supporters during the period of its existence,  the Bay Area Tailhook Ready Room (BAT) has been able to donate over $50,000 to entities and causes supporting Naval Aviation initiatives and projects. The funds have been derived from quarterly meetings of northern California and Nevada members, and from private donations from a number of sources. The principal recipients of these funds have been:

  1.  USS Hornet Foundation: Over $31,000 has gone toward shipboard facility renovation, aircraft restoration,  and museum display projects.

  1.  Tailhook Educational Foundation: Total donations of $30,000.

  1.  Pentagon Assistance fund: Over $4,700 was donated to recovery efforts following the 9/11 damage to the Pentagon. Private matching fund donations by members of the BAT Board of Directors enabled a total donation of $7,000.

  1.  USS McCampbell Commissioning fund: BAT donated $250 toward the commissioning ceremonies for USS McCampbell (DDG-85) named after WWII 15-victory ace David McCampbell. BAT donated $250 toward the commissioning ceremonies for USS America.
